- Short answer
- Only Lottoland prints a £1 minimum among the fifteen UK sites we priced: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Trustly, MuchBetter and Pay by Bank are all £1.00, and Paysafecard is £2.00. Its terms also mention a handling fee of 5% or £2 minimum on some withdrawals. Read on 22 October 2026.

A £1 deposit casino is the cheapest way into a UK account, and in our list of fifteen it has exactly one occupant. On 22 October 2026 we read the cashier, FAQ and terms pages behind every site on the home page list, and Lottoland is the only one that prints a one-pound floor on ordinary online methods. This page sets out where that pound applies, which £1 claims did not hold up, and which clauses decide whether a pound is a sensible first payment.

The £1 deposit casino in the list: Lottoland's table
Lottoland's help centre answers "Which payment methods can I use to deposit?" with a table, and the table is where the pound comes from. Six rows read 1.00 GBP, one reads 2.00 GBP, and every row says deposits are instant. The site is run by EU Lotto Ltd, which states a Gambling Commission account number of 38991 for customers in Great Britain.
| Method | Type as printed | Smallest deposit | Processing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visa | debit card | £1.00 | instant |
| Mastercard | debit card | £1.00 | instant |
| Apple Pay | Apple Pay | £1.00 | instant |
| Trustly | instant bank transfer | £1.00 | instant |
| MuchBetter | e-wallet | £1.00 | instant |
| Pay by Bank | instant bank transfer | £1.00 | instant |
| Paysafecard | e-wallet | £2.00 | instant |

On the shelf above, the £1 label carries one site while £5 and £10 carry the rest. What sets Lottoland apart is that the low price does not hang on the wallet you pick, with the voucher the single exception. Most other sites price per method, which the payments page sets out in full.
Why only one site makes a £1 deposit casino
A £1 claim counts on this site only when the casino's own page prints it, for a method you can use online. Four claims fell short of that rule.
| Claim | What the page we read said | Counted? |
|---|---|---|
| Zodiac Casino at £1 | open only to players in Alberta or Ontario | no |
| London.bet at £1 | no minimum on its terms or help pages | no |
| William Hill WH Plus at £1 | a top-up made at a shop counter | no, not online |
| Sky Vegas "no minimum" | support says so for Pay by Bank; terms 9.7 say £5 on all methods | priced at £5 |
The Sky Vegas row is the one that confuses people. Two pages of one site disagree, and a figure that a casino contradicts on its own terms is not one to build a plan on. The rules for what is counted are on the method page.
What sits behind a £1 deposit casino payment
The deposit is the cheap part. Lottoland's terms hold the clauses that decide what the pound costs to use.
| Clause | What it says | Why it matters at £1 |
|---|---|---|
| 8.2 | a valid card is registered first; credit cards are not an option in Great Britain | debit only |
| 8.3 | the name on the payment method must match the account | no borrowed cards or wallets |
| 8.4 | Lottoland may set different minimum and maximum deposits for a period | £1 is today's figure, not a fixed one |
| 8.9 | third-party charges fall on the user; a handling fee of 5% or £2 minimum may apply if a deposit is not played through before a withdrawal | £2 is more than a £1 deposit |
| 8.16 | bonus or voucher funds can never be withdrawn; your own funds can, subject to checks | a bonus does not become cash by itself |
| 12.7 | winnings are calculated and credited in EUR at the ECB rate, though Lottoland may credit the bet currency | read before staking |
Clause 8.9 is written as a right the company reserves, and it mentions repeated or vexatious requests, so it will not apply to every withdrawal. We still print it because the £2 minimum is in the text. For a withdrawal minimum the pages we read gave no figure for Great Britain; the only printed floor, £5, is for customers outside it. We also did not find how clause 12.7 works for casino games on a sterling account, so treat that row as a question for the cashier.
Checks and limits around a £1 deposit casino account
A small first payment does not skip the paperwork. Clause 5.3 says that registering lets Lottoland verify your identity and ask for further information or proof of identity, and clause 12.3 adds that paying out winnings can depend on checks the company must carry out. So a £1 deposit casino account is treated like any other UK account: age, identity and payment-method ownership are all checked, and a withdrawal can wait for them.
Lottoland's pages also describe tools for staying in control. A deposit limit can be set from the account, and a voluntary exclusion tool runs for a minimum of six months. Neither tool is about the size of the first deposit; they matter because a pound is easy to repeat. Ten separate £1 payments are a £10 deposit with ten chances to stop, and a limit set before the first one is the cheapest of those chances.
The £1 price also sits one rung below the others in a simple ladder.
| Step | Sites in our list | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| £1 | 1 | six methods, voucher £2.00 |
| £5 | 5 | usually named methods only |
| £10 | 9 | the usual price, often with an offer attached |
What a £1 balance stretches to
Sums are simple at this size. At 10p a round a pound is ten rounds, at 50p it is two, and at £1 it is one. A stake you can see on screen before you press is the only useful measure, and the games page works through stakes for small balances. Lottoland is a lottery-led site with a casino section, so the product mix differs from a slots-first casino, and what a pound buys depends on which section you use.
Checks before paying at a £1 deposit casino

- Pick the method first. Paysafecard is £2.00, so the pound belongs to the other six.
- Check that the card, bank account or wallet is in your own name.
- Find the withdrawal minimum in the cashier, since our pages gave none for Great Britain.
- Read the fee wording in clause 8.9 before you plan to take out a small sum.
- Set a deposit limit; at £1 a limit still stops a habit from growing.
Check the price on the label for your method first, then pay in no more than your budget allows.

Questions, ticked off
Is there more than one £1 deposit casino in the UK?
In our reading of fifteen UKGC-licensed sites, no. Lottoland is the only one whose own page prints a £1 floor. Other sites quoted at £1 elsewhere either showed no figure or were closed to UK players.
Can I pay £1 with any method at Lottoland?
Not any. Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Trustly, MuchBetter and Pay by Bank are £1.00. Paysafecard is £2.00. Credit cards are not accepted from customers in Great Britain.
Will a £1 deposit get me a welcome bonus?
We read no welcome offer figure for Lottoland. The offers we could read elsewhere on this site start at a £10 first deposit, so a single pound should not be counted on to open one.
Can I withdraw a £1 balance?
The Lottoland pages we read printed no withdrawal minimum for Great Britain, so we cannot say. Its terms mention a fee of 5% or £2 minimum when a deposit has not been played through, which would exceed a £1 deposit.
Is the £1 minimum permanent?
Not by the terms. Clause 8.4 lets Lottoland set different minimum and maximum deposit amounts for a period. The figure here is the one printed on 22 October 2026.
