Wagering on small deposits: what 10x means for a £10 balance

A bonus on a small deposit comes with a turnover target, and on a £10 balance the target is large. This page works out the target as a multiple of what you pay in, the time it needs and the rules that can wipe it.

Gareth TranterBy · updated 22 October 2026

Short answer
Wagering on small deposits is usually 10x the bonus. At Lucky Admiral a £10 deposit with a £10 bonus needs £100 of bonus wagers, ten times the deposit. Casumo's £20 start needs £100 inside seven days, about £14.29 a day. PlayOJO states no wagering. Read on 22 October 2026.

Wagering on small deposits is a matter of arithmetic that you can finish before you pay. The requirement attaches to the bonus, not to the deposit, so a £10 deposit and a £10 bonus at 10x become £100 of bets, and the bonus counts as yours only when they are placed. On 22 October 2026 we read the offer lines, FAQs and terms of the low deposit casinos on our home page list and kept the clauses that change what a small balance can do. The qualifying amounts for each offer sit on the bonuses page; here the focus is what the turnover costs in size, time and rules.

Wagering on small deposits as a multiple of your deposit

The headline multiplier says little until it is set against what you paid in. The table divides each printed requirement by the deposit that triggers it.

OfferDepositRequirement printedTotal to wagerMultiple of deposit
Lucky Admiral£1010x bonus, FAQ example £10 bonus£10010
Casumo£2010x on a £10 bonus (50% match)£1005
Casumo£10010x on a £50 bonus£5005
Jackpotjoy£10£10 wagered on bingo or slots£101
Slingo£1010x on spin winningsdepends on the winningsvaries
PlayOJO£10none stated£00

Two points follow. A match bonus makes the multiple smaller than the headline, because only half the deposit is the bonus. A spin offer such as Slingo's gives no fixed sum: if the spins won £4, 10x would mean £40, an example of the arithmetic and not a figure the page prints.

How long the wagering takes

Wagering on small deposits has a size and a clock. Casumo says its match is valid for seven days and Jackpotjoy gives thirty days from the deposit. Dividing gives a pace.

OfferRequirementWindowPace needed
Casumo, £20 start£1007 days£14.29 a day
Jackpotjoy, £10 start£1030 daysabout 33p a day

For the £100 case the stake decides how many bets it takes. The table below is plain division.

10p1,000
20p500
50p200
£1100

Another way to see the size is in turns of your own balance. With £10 of real money and a £10 bonus the combined balance is £20, so a £100 requirement means the balance must be staked five times over. Each turn loses a little on average, which is why the total can fall short even when luck is neutral. With a Casumo £20 start plus £10 bonus the balance is £30, and £100 is a little over three turns. The smaller the balance, the more turns the same requirement takes.

Casumo caps a bet at €5 while a bonus is active, and Slingo caps it at 10% of the spin winnings with a £0.10 floor or £5, whichever is lower. These caps are a ceiling, so they matter little for a £10 balance; the real constraint is that a small balance has few bets to spend. Lucky Admiral's page prints no expiry for its Mega Reel spins, so the clock there is something to confirm in the cashier.

What counts and what resets

Several rules decide whether the sum is reachable at all.

  • What counts. Lucky Admiral's FAQ says only bonus wagers count toward the requirement and real money wagers do not, and also that real funds are staked before bonus funds. Read together they suggest the count starts once your real balance is spent. The page does not state that outright, so check before you pay.
  • Resetting. Withdrawing real funds at Lucky Admiral before the wagering is finished resets the bonus balance to £0.00.
  • Cancelling. Slingo lets you withdraw with a bonus active, but only by cancelling the whole bonus balance, winnings from it included.
  • Conversion. Lucky Admiral converts to cash no more than your lifetime deposits, up to £250.
  • Funds that never leave. Lottoland's terms say bonus and voucher funds can never be withdrawn; your own money can, after checks.

Zero wagering is not zero effort

PlayOJO says no wagering, ever, and pays bonus wins in cash. Casumo marks several promotions 0x, but earns them by activity: one wheel spin for wagering £50 on selected live tables, or super spins for a £50 weekend deposit plus £150 wagered. A zero on the prize does not remove the turnover needed to reach it.

Treat the two kinds of sentence differently. "No wagering requirements" describes what happens to the prize. "0x wager" on a promotion can sit beside a separate activity requirement. On a small balance the second kind is easy to underestimate.

Wagering and the withdrawal floor

Wagering on small deposits ends in a withdrawal, and the floor can add a second target. Slingo's minimum withdrawal is £20, so £10 of deposit and a bonus that clears wagering may still leave a balance under the floor. PlayOJO prints £0, Jackpotjoy and the Rank sites £10. When you add the floor to the requirement, the question becomes how much you must win before any of it can leave.

When to skip a bonus on a small balance

None of these rules is a verdict on an offer, and wagering on small deposits is not wrong in itself. They are tests you can apply before opting in:

  1. Multiple of deposit above about five, as at Lucky Admiral's £10 start, means a lot of betting for your size.
  2. A window of seven days or less leaves a daily pace that a small balance may not sustain.
  3. A reset rule means any early withdrawal costs the bonus.
  4. A cap on conversion below the bonus size means part of it can never convert.

If two or more apply, a plain deposit without the offer is the simpler route, and the £10 deposit page shows the sites where that is possible.

The four checks to make before a first deposit: deposit minimum, bonus minimum, withdrawal minimum, payout time and fees.
  1. Multiply the bonus by the multiplier and compare it with your balance.
  2. Divide by the days in the window.
  3. Read the reset and cancel rules.
  4. Read the withdrawal floor.

Questions, ticked off

  • What does 10x wagering mean on a £10 bonus?

You must place £100 of wagers before the bonus can become cash: £10 times 10. Lucky Admiral's FAQ works the same example, a £10 deposit and £10 bonus, to a £100 requirement.

  • Does a small deposit make wagering easier?

No. The requirement is set on the bonus, so a small deposit with a matched bonus can still need many times the deposit in wagers. Casumo's £20 start needs £100, which is five times the deposit.

  • What happens if I withdraw before finishing?

At Lucky Admiral, withdrawing real funds before the wagering is complete resets the bonus balance to £0.00. At Slingo, an active bonus can stay while you withdraw, but you have to cancel the whole bonus balance, winnings from it included.

  • Which site has no wagering requirement?

PlayOJO's home page says it has no wagering requirements and pays bonus wins in cash. Its first-deposit spins are valued at £0.10 each. Check the amount needed on the offer terms.

  • Is there a limit on how much of a bonus I can keep?

Lucky Admiral limits what converts to real funds to your lifetime deposits, up to £250. With a single £10 deposit, £10 is the most that can convert, however large the bonus balance grows.
